Creation Science

How modern science confirms biblical accounts of creation

Day 1 – Light

Biblical Description: Let there be light… God separated the light from the darkness. (Gen 1:3–5)

Science Parallel: Big Bang radiation fills the universe; photons exist from the beginning. After ~380,000 years, the cosmos cools enough for light to travel freely (CMBR). Light precedes stars.

Timeline: 13.8 billion years ago (Big Bang); 380,000 years later (CMBR)

Day 2 – Waters separated

Biblical Description: Let there be a firmament… to divide the waters above from the waters below. (Gen 1:6–8)

Science Parallel: Expanding universe structures: hydrogen/helium gases separate into vast cosmic regions. Galaxies and clusters form, distinguishing cosmic 'above' (space) and planetary 'below.'

Timeline: 13–12 billion years ago (galaxies form)

Day 3 – Land, seas, vegetation

Biblical Description: Let the dry land appear… Let the earth bring forth grass. (Gen 1:9–13)

Science Parallel: Earth forms (~4.5 bya). Oceans gather, continents rise via tectonics. First microbial life emerges. Photosynthesis begins, harnessing light for energy.

Timeline: 4.5–3.5 billion years ago (Earth, oceans, first life)

Day 4 – Sun, moon, stars

Biblical Description: Let there be lights… to divide the day from the night… for signs, seasons, days, and years. (Gen 1:14–19)

Science Parallel: Stars already exist, but Earth’s thick atmosphere obscures them. As it clears, the sun, moon, and stars become visible, setting time cycles and climate patterns.

Timeline: 4.5–4.0 billion years ago (sun/stars visible from Earth)

Day 5 – Sea life and birds

Biblical Description: Let the waters bring forth abundantly… and fowl that may fly above the earth. (Gen 1:20–23)

Science Parallel: Ocean life explodes in the Cambrian period (~540 mya). Fish, invertebrates, and marine reptiles thrive. Evolution produces flying creatures (insects, then birds).

Timeline: 540–200 million years ago

Day 6 – Land animals & humanity

Biblical Description: Let the earth bring forth living creatures… Let us make man in our image. (Gen 1:24–31)

Science Parallel: Land mammals evolve. Primates develop intelligence. Homo sapiens (~300k years ago) emerge with language, symbolic thought, morality, and stewardship.

Timeline: 200 million years ago (mammals) → 300,000 years ago (humans)

Day 7 – Rest

Biblical Description: God rested… and sanctified it. (Gen 2:1–3)

Science Parallel: Universe stabilizes under natural laws (gravity, evolution, thermodynamics). Humanity enters a cosmic 'Sabbath' — called to live in harmony with creation.

Timeline: Present day (ongoing stability)
